    Actually doing my washing

    24 Jul 2009 6:23 PM

So I got a call at about 1pm today to say that someone was about 30mins away from my house to come and fix my washing machine. Someone from work gave me a lift home and when I arrived someone was standing outside my house. I let him in and about 10mins later I had a working washing machine.

    Hurrah!

I put a load of washing on and headed back to work. Now I am home again and doing some more washing. I have... uh, quite a lot to do.

In other news, Celia has learnt to miaow. She didn't used to make very much noise, but now she makes noises. Often outside my door in the morning after I have kicked her and Simon out of my room for trying to kill each other on my stomach. She has been doing it for a few weeks and getting louder and louder. Silly Celia.

In other other news, Someone from work brought in a Six Pack at 4.30 this afternoon. It is completely coincidental that I then

    1. Didn't feel like walking the 5km home
    2. Got on the wrong tram (in my defence, the sign said it was the correct tram)
    3. Didn't notice that it was the wrong tram when it should have become evident
    4. Missed my stop (the tram is not wrong enough to not have a "my stop")

I only had one beer, and I blame the book I was reading for 2-4 on the list. And number one can be blamed on the fact that I had already had to catch the tram once today (getting back to work after my washing machine was fixed) and so my not-buying-tram-tickets defences were already down.
