    Interestingly, not putting comics up for a week made very little difference to my site traffic, but a big difference to the number of comments I received. Today's Question: Was the comic actually funnier when it didn't update?

    Yes yes much funnier. I'll probably have to stop reading again if you start updating again.

    Also you have to look at the amount of comments you recieve in one week; I don't think it is fair to compare one strip that was up for a week to any other strip that was only up for a day or two.

    I did.

    I'd estimate that a normal week has 2-3 comments.

    Last week there were 9!
